How to Book a Tesla Ride in Auckland

Booking a Tesla Ride is designed to take a couple of minutes, with no back-and-forth and no surprises when the fare lands.

Step 1: Go to the Bookings page

Head to teslaride.co.nz/bookaride. You don't need to create an account to get a quote — though signing in with your email lets you track bookings and earn rewards points on every trip.

Step 2: Enter your pickup and drop-off

Type in your pickup address and your destination. Addresses auto-complete as you type, so there's no need to fuss with pins on a map.

Step 3: Choose your pickup time

This is where Tesla Ride differs from a typical rideshare app. You can select Soonest if you need a car as close to right now as possible, or plan ahead by Day, Week or Month — handy for booking an early-morning airport run the night before, or locking in a ride for an event weeks out. Pick a day from the calendar, then a specific time slot.

Step 4: Get your quote

Once your pickup, drop-off and time are set, tap Get Quote. You'll see a fixed fare for that exact trip — calculated on distance and time, with no surge pricing — before you commit to anything.

Step 5: Confirm and pay

If the fare works for you, confirm the booking. Payment is handled securely through Stripe, and you'll get confirmation of your driver and pickup details.

Step 6: Track it in My Bookings

Once you've booked, everything sits in your My Bookings dashboard — you can see upcoming trips, review past rides, and rate your driver. Frequent riders also build up rewards points with every trip, moving up through loyalty tiers over time.

A few tips: for Auckland Airport pickups, book ahead where you can — the driver will already be watching your flight, so even if it's delayed, you won't be left waiting on the kerb wondering if anyone's coming.
